REHEARSAL SCHEDULE FOR NEXT WEEK:
THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE HELPED OUT THIS WEEK:
Cindy Howie, Denise Hood, Sarah Hasenstab, Jessica McMahon, Deb Feinen, Judy Argentieri, Lia Hege, Jean Ann Hauslauden, Corrine Herges, Holly Spinner, Miss Valley for use of the gym and Mrs. Bohlen for use of the library.
COSTUMES:
Costume fittings continue next week. As we begin to ask for costume items and/or prop items to be brought in to school, please note those items need to stay at the school until the show is over. This includes even small items such as socks or hair items. The reason is that the costume committee members tag each item for each character, then once the character has their entire costume, it is marked as complete. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact Shelly Benson athcdreamcoat@gmail.com or at 352-7230.
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Monday, March 6 is the first day all characters will be “off book”, or that everything needs to be memorized. Parents of kids with large roles (Narrators, Joseph, Brothers) should encourage their students to work on memorization at home. We can still provide soundtrack CD’s for anyone who thinks this will help with memorization. The kids will still be able to hold onto their sheet music to practice with at home – we just want to work without it at rehearsals. Some of the kids are already doing quite well with this, and of those students we have talked with, they don’t seem concerned.
PROP REQUESTS:
Please check out the blog at hcdreamcoat.blogspot.com for complete list. Some newly added items:
WRANGLERS:
Please know that this is just a friendly reminder:
When you come to wrangle, we appreciate your efforts and the time you have taken from your busy schedule to make our musical a successful experience for all the children. We need your to help maintain order and (as much) silence (as possible).
That said, please step in to help wigglers and chatters stay focused and pay attention. If kids are talking or horsing around and should be paying attention, we want you to step in, don't hesitate. And when a small group breaks off to learn something, the others should be strongly encouraged to SIT QUIETLY, and sit with them, if needed.
Thanks again for your help!
